Description:
We experimented by projecting the downloaded webcast of the lecture from the youtube (first of its kind in our MEU). Unsurprisingly, Dr. Ramnarayan eventhough physically not delivered the lecture, left the audience speechless with his Inspire-Influence-Inform method of lecture. Dr. R.N. Salhan, Pro VC-SMU & Dean-SMIMS chaired the session and Dr. Joseph Philipraj (GSMC-FAIMER fellow) moderated the session. Following the projection, the topic was thrown for open house discussion amongst faculty members. This method of projecting webcast could be a useful tool for Faculty Development Programs and can be adopted on regular basis in our MEU's.

Description: Fundamental Critical Care Support Course (FCCS) was developed under the auspices of Society of Critical Care Medicine (SCCM), USA by multidisciplinary educators in the fields of Anesthesiology, Emergency Medicine, Internal Medicine, Nursing Pediatrics and surgery. The FCCS course is an international course being conducted in 25 countries all over the world since 1995 under the license from SCCM.
The FCCS course is a standardized two–day course providing critical care information to those specialists who have no formal training in critical care medicine. The course consists of standardized 16 lectures referenced to syllabus material plus 7 interactive skill stations and pre & post assessment test. Individuals who successfully complete the provider course will receive a certificate of successful completion from Society of Critical Care Medicine, USA.
